As the 2018/19 FIA WEC ‘Super Season’ edges closer, pre-season testing for many of the teams is in full swing.
Over the past few days four of the five GTE Pro manufacturers (Aston Martin, Ferrari, Ford and Porsche) have taken cars to the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, for some winter testing in the UAE sunshine.
Thanks to AMR driver Nicki Thiim, those of us not present are still able to get a flavour, the Dane posting a behind-the-scenes video to YouTube of him touring the Aston Martin garage and the pit lane, capturing the cars out on circuit too.
Of the drivers we know that were there in addition to Thiim, through social media posts, we know that Marco Sorensen and Maxime Martin were also sharing the wheel of the new Vantage, Ferrari driver Davide Rigon drove a 488, Andy Priaulx drove for Ford, and Michael Christensen steered a Porsche.
