Sorensen, TF Sport Quickest In Warm-Up

More trouble for UltraTek

Marco Sorensen, driving the #17 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage V12 GT3, was quickest in the ten-minute warm up session for Rounds Four and Five of the British GT Championship at Snetterton, lapping in 1:49.408 in a session that saw all 33 cars running.

Second quickest was Phil Keen in the #33 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracán GT3 with a 1:50.013 followed by Callum Macleod in the #7 Team Parker Racing Bentley Continental GT3 who lapped in 1:50.305.

In the GT4 field, Jason Wolfe, at the wheel of the #22 Invictus Games Racing Jaguar F-TYPE SVR GT4, was quickest in the Pro-Am category with a 1:59.274 with Tom Canning topping the time-sheets in the Silver category with a 1:59.706.

There was further disappointment for UltraTek Racing Team RJN with its #53 Nissan 370Z GT4. After working for much of the day to replace the engine, the team encountered a gearbox problem in qualifying and worked late into the night working on the car.

Unfortunately further issues were encountered during the warm-up session and Kelvin Fletcher was unable to set a competitive time.

The #47 Jetstream Motorsport Aston Martin, piloted by Graham Davidson and Maxime Martin, has been given an eight-place grid penalty for the second race of the day for completing insufficient laps in qualifying.

Race 1 starts at 11:00 with the lights going out for Race 2 at 15:30.
