Nail polish mafia
This weekend the RLR Msport crew have all painted a finger nail, for ‘good luck’. According to Rob Garofall (below left), it’s all his teammate Job Van Uitert’s (below, right) doing, we’re not sure though!
And we can’t knock it until we know it doesn’t work…
Driver changes
For this weekend’s race there’s been a few notable driver changes up and down the order. The most notable change comes in the DKR Engineering camp, its somewhat controversial all-Silver LMP3 line-up gone.
In place of its trio of Alexander Toril, Miguel Toril and Jean Glorieux, is Ricardo Sanchez, Henning Enqvist and Fabien Lavergne.
An ELMS spokesperson explained to DSC that the reason for the team’s change is not due to the categorisation of its drivers, but instead that “the Toril brothers have decided not to finish the season. Jean Glorieux also is injured and is not available for this race.”
Former GT Academy winner Sanchez explained to DSC that at the moment, it’s a one race deal for the three drivers.
Elsewhere, Italian Bronze driver Guglielmo Belotti has joined Eurointerpol’s #14 Ligier JS P3 crew for this weekend, Jean-Eric Vergne has been added to the #26 G-Drive Racing ORECA’s line-up, Alain Fertet will race in M Racing YMR’s #19 Norma, American Bret Curtis is now in the third Ebimotors seat, and Matteo Cairoli and Dennis Olsen have rejoined Proton Competition’s GTE crew after missing the last round.

Ebimotors’ new car
This weekend’s ELMS race is set to be the last for Ebimotors’ current Porsche 911 RSR, before the team switches to a newer chassis later this month.
To this point the Italian outfit has been leasing its current chassis from Proton Competition, a member of the team explaining that the team will head over to Proton HQ on the 27th of July to collect the new car ahead of the round at Silverstone in August.
Its new car is believed to be the first car of the second batch of customer 911 RSRs.
Le Mans Cup entry changes
In the Michelin Le Mans Cup paddock, DSC spotted two new cars, the first being a new GT3 car from Krypton Motorsport, which has entered a Mercedes AMG GT3 (below) for Italian pair Stefano Pezzucchi and Marco Zanuttini.
The second new car was GRAFF’s third Norma – the team now set to compete with three M30s in the championship.
Off the entry meanwhile, is the #50 Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 of Ollie Hancock and John Hartshorne and the race-by-race Stile F Squadra Corse Ferrari 458 is also nowhere to be season, meaning the GT3 class is just six cars strong with the additional Mercedes.

New liveries
The first trip down the pit lane for DSC, allowed us to get a first glance of some of the new post-Le Mans liveries for many of the teams.

JMW Motorsport (The 488 returns to its traditional yellow!)
