An updated entry list for the 2018 FIA WEC 6 Hours of Fuji has been released this morning, including one major change, the withdrawl of the single CEFC TRSM Ginetta G60-LT-P1 which featured on the original entry.
This brings the total number of LMP1 cars on the grid down to eight, and the total number of entries down to 34. DSC understands that the CEFC TRSM Ginetta will not make the trip due to commericial issues within the team.
Elsewhere in LMP1, ByKolles has confirmed that Oliver Webb will be joined by Tom Dillmann (back after missing the round at Silverstone) and James Rossiter (driving with the team for the first time in 2018) in its ENSO CLM P1/01.
The other two new driver changes include the addition of a pair of Japanese drivers – Keiko Ihara and Satoshi Hoshino – bringing the number of local heroes for the fans trackside to six.
Ihara takes the third seat in the Larbre Competition Ligier in her return to WEC competition for the first time since 2014, and Hoshino joins the #88 Dempsey Proton Racing crew in GTE Am in the seat previously filled by Gianluca Roda.
