Calderon & Floersch Confirmed In Richard Mille Racing ORECA

First all-female LMP2 crew reaveled

The full driver crew for Richard Mille Racing’s all-female 2020 ELMS LMP2 entry has been confirmed. As expected Tatiana Calderón and Sophia Floersch will join Katherine Legge who was confirmed this morning as part of the full 2020 ELMS entry list announcement.

The trio forms the first-ever all-female LMP2 driver crew, racing with the team’s Signatech-run, Michelin-shod, ORECA 07 Gibson this year.

“For the last 10 years or so, we have worked hard to promote women in our sport, trying to open the door so women can have an equal opportunity to show they have the talent to compete at the highest levels,” said. Michèle Mouton, who heads up the FIA Commission for Women in Motorsport.

This Richard Mille Racing Team effort is set to run throughout the 2020 and 2021 championship seasons, with the team requesting an invitation to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year.

The team’s three drivers were chosen following a rigorous selection process conducted with drivers supported by the Women in Motorsport Commission late last year. Katherine Legge will serve as the team’s captain.
