Timothé Buret Joins DragonSpeed For Paul Ricard ELMS & Le Mans

LMP2 programme added to Lexus GT3

Timothé Buret will make his first LMP2 start of the 2020 season aboard the #21 DragonSpeed ORECA 07 Gibson at Paul Ricard this weekend together with Ben Hanley and Memo Rojas and will continue with the team at the 2020 Le Mans 24 Hours in the #21 car alongside Pipo Derani and Memo Rojas.

Buret had driven in LMP2 for the past four seasons with Panis Barthez Racing scoring a pair of podium finishes with the team. His primary 2020 race programme thus far has been a full season entry in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup aboard the Tech 1 Racing Lexus RC F GT3.

Buret replaces Ryan Cullen in the DragonSpeed line-up, the Irishman is understood to have left the DragonSpeed team.

Elton Julian: “As 2020 continues to form its own unusual path, yet another turn has come.

“I’m delighted to welcome Timothé to the team at such short notice. We are confident that he’ll pick up in P2 right where he left it and we look forward to hopefully adding to his driving ability and resumé.

“I’d like to thank his management team and family for a quick execution and co-operative negotiation.”

Timothé Buret: “I am delighted to be joining DragonSpeed for the Le Castellet 240 and for the 2020 Le Mans 24 Hours.

“I am ready to take on this new LMP2 challenge in a front-running team with such a strong line-up.

“I deeply thank Elton Julian, Oreca, David Zollinger and Driving Koncept for making it possible.”
