Dutch racer Beitske Visser has been confirmed as the third driver for the #50 Richard Mille Racing LMP2 effort for the 2020 Le Mans 24 Hours on 19/20 September.
The 2019 W-Series runner up joined the team at both the Spa and Le Castellet 240 rounds of the European Le Mans Series putting in performances that have secured her place alongside Tatania Calderon and Sophia Floersch in the all-female crew for Le Mans.
The final shape of the Le Mans crew was thrown into doubt after Katherine Legge’s serious accident at the opening race meeting of the season at Paul Ricard, the US-based British racer suffering leg fractures after an accident at Signes corner.
That saw Tatania Calderon (above) race alongside supersub Andre Negrao at round one of the ELMS, the pair joined by Visser at Spa, with Sophia Floersch (below) getting her first race start in the LMP2 car last time out partnered with Visser as Calderon fulfilled Super Formula commitments in Japan.
The Richard Mille Racing effort has support from the FIA Women in Racing Commission, headed by Michele Mouton which also provides backing to the #83 GTE Ferrari effort fielded by Iron Lynx, Rahel Frey, Michelle Gatting and Manuela Gostner will make their second Le Mans start together this year in GTE Am.
