RealTeam Racing Confirm 2021 FIA WEC LMP2 Effort

Garcia, Duval, Nato

As previously trailed on DSC, Realteam Racing will enter an ORECA 07 in the LMP2 category of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship.

With the car prepared by TDS Racing the effort will be crewed by driver and team owner Esteban Garcia, teamed with Loïc Duval and Norman Nato.

Involved since the team launch back in 2019, David Droux will be the reserve driver.

The trio will take part in the competition for the brand new FIA Endurance Trophy for LMP2 Pro/Am teams and drivers which accommodates LMP2 crews featuring a bronze-ranked driver.

The move comes after two seasons in LMP3, a victory and a podium finish in the 2020 European Le Mans Series.

Loïc Duval has competed at the highest level of endurance racing in LMP1, notably as a factory driver for Audi Sport, which led him to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship title within 2013. Among other things, he has just completed a 2020 season in the European Le Mans Series in LMP2.

Norman Nato has made a name for himself in Endurance racing in recent years, first in LMP2, then in the top class in 2019 and 2020 with Rebellion Racing. In addition to his two FIA WEC victories last season, the French driver also finished second on the podium in the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans. In parallel with his LMP2 programme, he was signed by ROKiT Venturi Racing to compete in Formula E in his first season, after having been a reserve driver.
