Muehlner Motorsports Racing To Get Second Rolex 24 Entry

Driver search for second LMP3 Duqueine

Muehlner Motorsports America, based since 2011 in DeLand / Florida just minutes away from Daytona International Speedway, is pushing hard to put a second LMP3 entry onto the grid for this weekend’s Roar Before the Rolex 24 Hours.

The team, headed by Bernhard Muehlner, has prior experience at the race with GT class entries from 2013-2015 which featured future factory talent from both Porsche (Kevin Estre and Earl Bamber) and BMW (Connor de Phillippi).

With one Duqueine D08 already on the entry, for Moritz Kranz and Laurents Hörr with Kenton Koch, the first pairing will also double up in the IMSA Prototype Challenge.

The team does though have another Duqueine available and, with one Rolex 24 car having been withdrawn (The #540 Black Swan Porsche) after positive COVID-19 tests for both Tim Pappas and Larry ten Voorde, there appears to be a route into the main race if a suitably qualified and funded crew can be assembled.
