Glickenhaus 007 Hypercar Set For First Shakedown Today

At Vallelunga with Romain Dumas and Franck Mailleux

The first, now complete, Glickenhaus 007, bound for the FIA WEC in the new Hypercar class is set to have its first full shakedown test at Vallelunga Circuit later today.

The new car arrived at the circuit yesterday evening for final preparations ahead of the test.

The test, with Romain Dumas and Franck Mailleux set to take on driving duties, will see the second team entrant for the new-for-2021 class make its track debut after Toyota’s GR010 Hybrid took to the track late in 2020.

The SCG 007, powered by a Pipo Motors-designed and built turbo V8 is set to take on the Toyota and the grandfathered LMP1 car of Signatech Alpine in the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Team Owner Jim Glickenhaus has confirmed that the second 007 is also now in build.
