Daniel Juncadella will drive for Mercedes-AMG Team GruppeM Racing in the 2021 DTM aboard the team’s solo Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo.
The Spaniard returns to DTM after racing from 2013-16 with Mercedes Benz, returning in 2018, again with Mercedes when he scored 3 pole-positions and his maiden DTM win, and then his most recent season in the German Championship in 2019 with the R-Motorsport Aston martin effort.
The multi-national GruppeM team, with sites in Asia and UK, have set-up a permanent European base not far from the AMG headquarters for the DTM effort.

Third Abt Audi for Sophia Flörsch
ABT Sportsline is set to field a third Audi R8 LMS for Sophia Flörsch in the 2021 DTM with backing from automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler.
The 20-year-old German joins Abt team-mates Mike Rockenfeller and Kelvin van der Linde.
Flörsch will be the third female ABT Sportsline DTM driver: In 2009, Katherine Legge drove for the team and in 2012, ABT fielded an Audi A5 DTM for Rahel Frey.

The season opener is scheduled at Monza in mid-June.
