The six-hour ADAC 24H Qualifying race returns after a year’s gap in 2020 with an 85 car entry featuring no fewer than 32 SP9 and SPX (GT3 – level) entries in the top class as teams both jockey for position in the race next month, and work too to hone their machinery and driver squads ahead of the biggest German race of the season.
Added to the field of eight Porsches and seven Mercedes AMG GT3s in SP9, are seven BMWs, three Audis, three Ferraris and a pair of Lamborghinis.
SPX adds the Glickenhaus 004C, returned to the track after a significant shunt in testing midweek, and an eighth Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo, this car featuring the steer-by-wire ‘Space-Drive’ system.
There’s a supporting cast of one-make ‘Cup’ class cars, GT4s and Touring Cars to complete the grid.
The race is set to start at Midday CEST today.
