High Class Racing’s Anders Fjordbach is set to join Icelandic-flagged LMP3 team Team Thor from next weekend’s Monza round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup.
It adds yet another programme to a busy 2021 for Fjordbach who will race this weekend at Misano in the High Class Racing Audi R8 LMS GT2 with Mark Patterson and then in three weeks time, again at Monza, in the team’s LMP2 Oreca with Dennis Anderson and Jan Magnussen as the team prepare for a two-car LMP2 effort at Le Mans where Fjordbach will share one Oreca with father and son Jan and Kevin Magnussen in an All-Danish-crewed effort.
Anders will join Team Thor owner Audunn Gudmundsson in the #77 Ligier at Monza and thereafter for the remainder of the season – excluding the double-header at the Road to Le Mans support races for the Le Mans 24 Hours.
The programme will be Fjordbach’s first race effort in an LMP3 car.
“It’s a cool programme,” said Fjordbach to DSC today. “Audunn came into the season with real passion and, I think, has found that he was more competitive than he expected. I hope that I can add even more to the effort with pace and experience of the circuits. It would be great to see a brand new team get some real success.”
