British GT Notebook: Snetterton Tribute To Rob Foote, TF New Colours, Abba Regrouping

The Oman Racing with TF Sport Aston Martin that will make its season debut this weekend at Snetterton will be presented in a brand new colour scheme.

The #97 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be driven at Snetterton by Ahmad Al Harthy and Charlie Eastwood before the Omani star continues his summer programme with the Road to Le Mans double-header in support of the Le Mans 24 Hours where he will be joined by Michael Dinan who had a winning start with TF Sport in his GT Open debut at Spa alongside Robby Foley.

Snetterton Tribute To Rob Foote

As with much of the rest of motorsport around the UK the race meeting at Snetterton will pause for a minute’s silence before the start of Sunday’s first race as SRO Motorsports Group, the BRSCC, MSV, the whole paddock and all attending hold a minute’s silence in honour and remembrance of volunteer marshal Rob Foote who lost his life at Brands Hatch last weekend.

All British GT cars will also feature an orange heart on their windscreens, the symbol of remembrance adopted by the motorsport and marshalling community.

Abba Regrouping

Abba Racing will miss the Snetterton meeting as the team work to repair the damage suffered in the start line accident at Spa (below), the team’s Mercedes AMG GT3 understood to be requiring a replacement chassis and now likely to reappear as the upgraded Evo version of the car when the team continue their dual British GT/ GT Cup campaign.
