Nico Mueller For Audi LMDH Effort
Twice DTM Championship runner-up and Formula E podium finisher Nico Mueller has confirmed that he will form a part of the forthcoming Audi LMDH effort in the FIA WEC.
In a social media announcement the 29 year-old Swiss racer said: “I am very happy to tell you guys that I‘ve extended my commitment with Audi and am confirmed as one of their official LMDh drivers.
“Important & intense months of preparation are lying ahead of us, before we go racing in 2023. Competing for the overall win at the 24h of Le Mans in an Audi, a dream come true!
Mueller has appeared just once before in the WEC, a one-off appearance in a G-Drive Oreca at Shanghai in 2017.
Panciatici For Bahrain With ARC Bratislava
Nelson Panciatici will return to the FIA WEC starting grid for the first time since the Nurburgring in 2017 when he joins Oliver Webb and Miro Konopka in the ARC Bratislava Oreca 07 for the pair of season-ending races at Bahrain in late October/ early November.
It will be Panciatici’s first LMP2 outing since forming part of the Duqueine team effort in the 2018 ELMS, he has three LMP2 race wins, one in WEC and a pair in ELMS, all with the Signatech Alpine team.
Bahrain Races To Welcome Fans
Both Bahrain races are set to welcome spectators with tickets already on sale.
Spectator entry policy for the race will be in line with The Kingdom of Bahrain’s prevailing Covid-19 traffic light system. Under the current green conditions, entry is permitted to all. However, should the traffic light status change, entry restrictions will be in place in line with Government direction, with ticket holders permitted entry subject to Covid-19 vaccination or recovery status.
Both events will feature support races including the Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East and a strong package of family entertainment.
