With the 2021 Season finale for International GT Open at Barcelona this weekend there’s another significant batch of guest entries to round up.
First up, there will be two Honda NSX GT3 Evo at Barcelona with a Nova Race car entered for its second race of the season after competing at Monza with no little success, a double win in the AM class. It will join the near full-season Reno Racing that is fighting for top honours in the Pro-Am class.
At Barcelona, Alberto Lippi will be again at the wheel, associated with JAS Motorsport Development Driver Jacopo Guidetti, who made his debut in the GT Open at Monza in the second Reno Racing car. They will compete in Pro-Am.
TF Sport will make their third International GT Open outing of the season in Barcelona.
The British squad will again enter an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 for American pairing Michael Dinan and Robby Foley, who made their first-ever racing appearance in Europe earlier this season at Spa, clinching a podium finish (2nd) in Race 1.
TF Sport already has a GT Open race win to his credit this year, as Sam De Haan-Charlie Eastwood took Race 2 at the Red Bull Ring.
AF Corse will enter two Ferrari 488 GT3 Evos.
In one, Cédric Sbirrazzuoli from Monaco (who last raced in the GT Open in 2014) will be joined by Frenchman Hugo Delacour, who has experience in Ferrari Challenge competition and in Italian GT.
In the other car, Oswaldo Negri (who took part in one GT Open event in 2019) will be paired with US driver Jay Schreibman, who comes from the Ferrari Challenge North America.
Olimp Racing will make a third outing this year. The Polish squad will be in Barcelona with its usual two car entry, which includes a Mercedes AMG GT3 in the Pro-Am classe for Marcin Jedlinski-Karol Basz and an Audi R8 LMS for Stanislaw Jedlinski-Krystian Korzeniowski in Am.
The team has taken part this year to the Hungaroring and Red Bull Ring rounds, with excellent results, including an overall top-5 and two Am wins in Austria.
After a successful debut weekend at Monza, 2 Seas Motorsport will return to contest the final round of the championship.
After winning Race 1 in Italy, Ethan Simioni and Martin Kodrić will pair up again at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 22-24 October, at the wheel of the #9 Mercedes AMG GT3.
