Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) has announced that now ex Mazda factory DPi driver and 2021 Motul Petit Le Mans overall winner Oliver Jarvis will join the team’s full-season lineup for the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
Jarvis will make his debut in the #60 Acura ARX-05 DPi in the 2022 Rolex 24 At Daytona as MSR begins its second full-season of IMSA DPi competition with what is expected to be an all new full-season line-up.
Jarvis has competed full-time in the category for the last four seasons, earning 14 podium finishes including race victories at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Watkins Glen International in 2020 and most recently Petit Le Mans last weekend.
Jarvis made his FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) debut in 2010 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans where he now has nine career starts including an LMP2 class victory in the 2017 edition, second overall with Jackie Chan DC Racing.
He has also netted five WEC wins between 2016-2017 at Spa Francorchamps, Bahrain, Silverstone, Le Mans, and Nurburgring.
“I am delighted to be joining Meyer Shank Racing for the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar championship,” said Jarvis. “I can’t wait to start working with Mike (Shank) and the team, and to get my first taste of the Acura ARX-05.
“Having competed against the Acura for many years, and watching it win numerous races and titles, I’m more than aware of how capable it is,” continued Jarvis. “With a new team, there will be lots to learn, but I am certain we will be up to speed quickly and I can’t wait to get on track and start challenging for victories.”
