With the new for 2022 BMW M4 GT3 set to reach the first customer teams in days, BMW has confirmed that the gaping hole left for its test team in their schedules will be filled by the next generation of BMW M4 GT4.
The car is set to replace the current model, based around the F82 road car and launched for customer sales in 2018. The current car got an Evo kit for the 2021 season and has scored several major Championship wins including the GT4 European Series, British GT Championship and FFSA GT4.
The new model, based on the current G82 M4 platform looks set to follow the regular factory development pattern of intensive testing followed by a race programme in factory hands before release for customers in 2023.
No need for words! We are excited to start intensive testing of the new BMW M4 GT4. Stay tuned!#BMWM4GT4 #BMWMMotorsport #TheM4 #BMWM pic.twitter.com/9xygfYnXku
