Porsche Show Teaser Pics Of Forthcoming LMDH

The Porsche Night Of Champions is the traditional point at which details of the following year’s plans are revealed by Porsche Motorsport.

And whilst there are no plans to race the LMDH as yet revealed Porsche have taken the opportunity presented by the end of season event to show the first teaser images of the new car.

Notably, all are of the rear of the Multimatic-built machine, Porsche are clearly saving the road-car inspired styling for another day!

The car is currently set to test in 2022 and to make its race debut at the Rolex 24 Hours in 2023 ahead of full-season two-car efforts in both IMSA and FIA WEC with both efforts handled by Team Penske.

The confirmation of Dane Cameron and Felipe Nasr in Porsche Motorsport’s factory driver line-up in 2022gives the programme further strengthen depth of Chmpionship-level prototype test and race experience.

The two new works drivers are to be involved intensively in the further development of the LMDh “We are working all-out with our partner Penske on the development of the new LMDh prototype and collaborate closely with the chassis manufacturer Multimatic at all times,” explained Thomas Laudenbach. “In January, we will begin intensive testing to ensure that we are optimally prepared for our 2023 competition debut.”
