The #1 2 Seas Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 was quickest at the end of the three Free Practice sessions of the 10th Gulf 12 Hours at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
Under traditional clear blue skies in the Middle East, Martin Kodric’s quickest lap early into Free Practice 1 was enough to top the times after all three sessions and over two hours of on-track action.
The #99 Attempto Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 of Dries Vanthoor trailed Kodric by three-tenths of a second in FP1, with the #75 SPS Automotive Mercedes-AMG completing the GT3 Pro trio inside the top three.
The Free Practice 2 session was heavily curtailed by a red flag as the #33 Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 of Murat Cuhadaroglu brought the session to an end halfway through its running. The duo of 2 Seas Motorsport Mercedes cars headed FP2 up to that point, with the Attempto Audi third.
Track and ambient temperatures were at their highest for the third and final session, which was headed on its final lap by the #46 VR46 Ferrari 488 GT3 of David Fumanelli. The #1 2 Seas Mercedes of Ben Barnicoat similarly set his quickest lap on the final tour, two-tenths of a second behind the Ferrari, but ahead of the #99 Attempto Audi.
The #15 Century Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage finished the quickest of the GT4 class with its time from the first practice session.
The #91 Baron Motorsport Ferrari 488 Challenge car finished with the second quickest ProAm class time set in the final session.
