2012 World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff is set to make his return to the Hankook 24H DUBAI after being confirmed as the fourth driver of Autorama Motorsport by Wolf-Power Racing’s Audi RS 3 LMS.
The reigning Overall TCE Teams’ champion has registered both of its now tenured Volkswagen Golf GTIs for Dubai.
Overall TCE Drivers’ champion Constantin Kletzer, reigning TCE Ladies Cup winner Jasmin Preisig, Paul Sieljes and 2019 24H SERIES Europe Overall GT Drivers’ champion Fabian Danz will drive the lead #111 entry. Henry Littig, Antti Rammo and Vytenis Gulbinas are similarly signed up for the sister #112 TCR.
The team has now confirmed Rob Huff will join German contemporaries Peter Posavac, and Marcus and Marlon Menden in Autorama’s brand-new, second generation Audi RS 3 LMS.
“It is a great honour to have a driver like Rob with our team,” Wolf Power Racing confirmed. “His years of touring car experience will help us understand the new Audi faster, and find a good setup for racing.
“Rob Huff was an FIA World Touring Car Champion in 2012, an STCC TCR Scandinavia champion in 2020, and [most recently] won the FIA World Touring Car Cup season finale in Sotchi. This is just a small snippet of his accomplishments!”
This year’s event will mark the first time Huff has competed as a driver in the 24H SERIES since his run to 2nd in Dubai in 2014 with ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport. As a team owner, Huff also entered two Teamwork Huff Motorsport Audi RS 3s for the 2019 TCR SPA 500, securing a PRO/AM podium in the process. He does though have fairly extensive 24 Hour race experience including a successful effort at Daytona in an LMPC car – he finished second in class with 8Star Motosport in 2014, a top ten finish at the Nürburgring with Black Falcon and even an outing at the Britcar 24 Hours in a Chrysler Viper.
