Already crowned as the Asian Le Mans Series GT AM Champions (above), SPS automotive performance will again field two Mercedes-AMG GT3s in the Endurance Cup of GT World Challenge Europe in 2022 with at least one car to also run in the Sprint Cup races too.
The team finished runner-up in the Pro-Am class last season with two class victories and a further seven podiums.
And, after a two-year break, an SPS automotive performance Mercedes-AMG GT3 will return to the International GT Open. A Series where the team has scored 13 overall and class victories, 15 podiums and the Pro-Am title in 2018.
Selected outings are also planned in this year’s Michelin Le Mans Cup and the 24H Series.
Stephan Sohn, team principal SPS automotive performance: “The many restrictions over the past two years have meant that we have had to tone down our motorsport programme a little. In the GT World Challenge Europe, we have found a new sorting home, in which we were also successful. We also want to expand our involvement in other international racing series again, in which we laid the foundation for our success in the past. In all the series, we are able to provide professional, semi-professional and amateur drivers with a competitive package. The plans are not yet complete, but I think we will be able to announce our final programme in the near future.”
