Julien Andlauer will join Fred Poordad and Patrick Linsdey in the #88 Dempsey Proton Porsche for the 1000 Miles of Sebring, the last-minute change sees the Porsche factory driver replace the previously named Jan Heylen in the car for the opening race of the season.
Also confirmed as joining the entry for the Prologue is reigning Michelin Le Mans Cup GT3 drivers Champion Niki Leutwiler, the Swiss joins the #46 Team Project 1 Porsche squad alongside Matteo Cairoli and Mikkel Pedersen.
Algarve Pro Consider Livery Change – ELMS Entries Secured
The Algarve Pro Racing team are closing in on a decision on the livery for their #45 ORECA for the Prologue and the race next Friday with consideration underway to re-livery the car in Algarve Pro’s traditional sky blue colours. Should that not be possible the car may run in un-vinylled carbon rather than the current orange and black, which is now the APR corporate palette as well as the base colours for G-Drive Racing.
DSC sources suggest that the team is also set to be confirmed as a full season two-car entry in the European Le Mans Series, the Portuguese team appears to have been successful in bidding for the two entries previously posted by G-Drive Racing to be re-allocated to them, the entry previously posted for John Falb, Alex Peroni and James Allen will continue unchanged whilst the entry that featured Sophia Floersch is still set to feature the young German but with a pair of TBAs still to be confirmed, the team are known to have been in discussions with a number of drivers new to the team.
Eurosport Adopt WEC TV Comms
Confirmed on social media yesterday is a change in the broadcast offering for Eurosport, and, we presume, MotorTrend On Demand viewers in the USA, as their FIA WEC broadcasts are set to shift to commentary from the WEC World Feed, Tom Gaymor will provide a presentational presence for the broadcaster with Martin Haven, Anthony Davison, Graham Goodwin and Louise Beckett providing commentary live from trackside.
