SPS automotive performance has confirmed its first driver line-up for the 2022 International GT Open. It will be composed of the Swiss duo formed by Dexter Müller and Yannick Mettler.
Both had already the opportunity to be at the wheel of the Mercedes AMG at the recent Winter Test in Barcelona.
Müller, from Zurich, has started racing recently and finished 5th in the 2019 Michelin Le Mans Cup.
Mettler, from Luzern, has more experience, mostly with GT and TCR cars, and has claimed some significant successes, including a TCE title in the 24 Hours Series and class wins at the Nürburgring and Dubai 24 Hours. He has already raced in the GT Open in 2020, finishing fourth overall and taking one win and one pole with a Team Lazarus Bentley.
SPS automotive performance, the well-known team led by Stephen Sohn, is back this year to the series where it clinched the Pro-Am title in 2018.
