Round four of the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season will see 32 cars contest next weekend’s Hyundai Monterey Sports Car Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
The 2 Hour and 40 minute race welcomes the DPI, LMP2, GTD Pro and GTD classes.
There’s the regular full-season sextet of DPis, matched by the turnout for GTD Pro and indeed the returning LMP2 class.
One detail confirmed by the entry list is that the #52 PR1 Mathiesen Oreca will be crewed by Josh Pierson and Patrick Kelly, the pair will henceforth serve as the team’s regular Sprint race pairing.
A 14 car GTD grid sees a number of changes from Long Beach.
Alegra Motorsports return with their Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for Michael De Quesada and Daniel Morad and after the unplanned absence of the NTE Sport/ SSR Lamborghini last time out, the team returns with Marco Holzer and Jaden Conwright in the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo.
