All Change At Iron Dames After COVID Positive For Sarah Bovy
A positive COVID test for Sarah Bovy will see the Belgian racer miss her home event in the #85 Iron Dames Ferrari with Michele Gatting also counted out as a result of close contact with her team-mate falling foul of the Iron Lynx COVID protocol.
Bovy and Gatting will be replaced by Iron Lynx regular Doriane Pin with double IMSA GTD Champion Christina Nielsen drafted in for her first appearance with the Iron Dames – the pair joining Rahel Frey for the weekend.
Nielsen becomes the seventh female driver to form a part of the Iron Dames GT programmes in GT3 and/ or GTE machinery. with Pin, Bovy, Gatting, Frey, Manuela Göstner and programme founder Deborah Mayer.
The Dane’s last GTE experience came at Le Mans in 2018 with Ebimotors in their Porsche 911 RSR.
