2023 Intercontinental GT Challenge Reshuffled

Kyalami moves to February, Suzuka still not back, Gulf 12 Hours added for 2022 and 2023

SRO has confirmed the 2023 calendar for the Intercontinental GT Challenge with two significant changes.

The IGTC returns to a five-race calendar with the Bathurst 12 Hour, the Spa 24 Hours and the Indianapolis 8 Hours remaining on the calendar in their now well-established slots.

The Kyalami 9 Hours though will move to a February date after two race meetings which suffered from extreme weather late in the year.

The Series will, once again, miss out on a return to South East Asia the Suzuka round was again determined to be a bridge too far as the logistical expenses and realities were weighed up.

The calendar will be completed by the inclusion of the Gulf 12 Hours.

SRO has also confirmed that a revived Am class will be introduced for GT2-spec cars for 2023.

The Gulf 12 Hours will also join the IGTC this year, providing the final round of the Championship on 11 December at Yas Marina on 11 December.

28/30 July: 24 Hours of Spa
8/9 October: Indianapolis 8 Hours
TBC: Gulf 12 Hours
