With the level of availability of GTE AM slots in the 2023 FIA WEC unclear, a number of current teams are waiting with no little anxiety on the decisions of the Selection Committee early next year.
Amongst them is Swiss outfit Kessel Racing who are known to be keen to take their Car Guy customer effort to the World Championship with a Ferrari 488 GTE in the final competitive year for the car and the class.
Whatever happens on the World Championship front though there seems sure to be a two-car Ferrari effort from the team for the 2023 Asian Le Mans Series in the GT cars for GT3 spec machinery:
“One red car and one yellow” said a none-too-enigmatic team spokesperson, indicating that previous Champions Car Guy will return once again to the Series, set to take place for a third consecutive season in the UAE in February 2023 with two x four-hour races at Dubai Autodrome and two the following weekend at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
