Porsche Complete Successful 36 Hour Endurance Test At Sebring

Porsche Penske Motorsport completed a 36-hour endurance test at Sebring International Raceway, last week in the longest endurance test yet for any LMDh car.

The test involved just on Porsche 963 with Porsche Motorsport claiming the car completed 1,218 laps or 7,331 km in the test proper. The endurance run went from early morning on Thursday and finished on Friday evening.

Nine drivers took part in the test including Porsche Formula E racer Pascal Wehrlein whose presence at the test was revealed by Autosport.

The completion of the test will be good news for all of the LMDh manufacturers who will be buoyed by good and reliable mileage from the spec hybrid system shared by Acura, BMW and Cadillac with the Porsche.
