This weekend sees the public unveiling of Ferrari’s new LMH Hypercar for the 2023 FIA WEC with the race livery and car name expected to be amongst the items ticked off the todo list ahead of the world’s most famous automotive brand’s return to top class factory Sportscar racing for the first time in half a century.

DSC will be on-site at Imola to report live.

The cars though, and the plural is not an error, have been testing this week at Monza, with the team running two cars together for the first time, Alessandro Pier Guidi and Nicklas Nielsen understood to be on driving duties in the cars.

Also on-track at Monza was a test car Ferrari 296 GT3, running in matt grey colours, the car was testing together with a 488 GT3 Evo 2020 on comparison duties.

The 296 GT3 is also set to feature at Imola this weekend, where the Ferrari Finali Mondiali festival is taking place, a blend of the World Finals of the brand’s one-make Championships and both static and ‘dynamic’ displays of their F1 and GT current and past heroes.
