Triple GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup Champions Charles Weerts and Dries Vanthoor have both driven their final races for Audi Sport.
24 year old Dries Vanthoor’s final outing was in winning a Bronze Medal at the FIA Motorsport Games whilst 21 year old Weerts finished his Audi stint at the end of the regular European season.
Vanthoor’s 20+ Audi victories include wins at both the Nurburgring 24 Hours (2019) and Bathurst 12 Hours (2018).
Weerts meanwhile has scored some 16 wins with Audi in GT3 machinery across GT World Challenge, ADAC GT Masters and the FIA Nations Cup.
Both drivers look set to join the Team WRT BMW squad with GT3 in the 2023 season and likely both drivers eyeing the possibility of a HyperCar driver to follow.
