2023 SUPER GT Calendar Updated

Dates of Sugo and Autopolis rounds shifted

The GT Association (GTA) published an updated version of the 2023 Autobacs SUPER GT Series calendar today.

The sixth round of the championship at Sportsland SUGO has been moved back one week, to the weekend of 17 September. This was done to avoid a clash of dates with the FIA World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Fuji, which had moved to the 10 September weekend.

A second change of dates comes with the seventh and penultimate round, at Autopolis International Racing Course – which has now moved back two weeks to 15 October.

This second date change overlaps IMSA’s Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, and is also expected to trigger a change from the Super Taikyu Series – who originally slated their round at Okayama International Circuit for 15 October, but had a provision to move back to the 22nd.

All other dates remain unaltered from the original, provisional calendar published on 8 August. However, event distances and formats are still yet to be determined.

SUPER GT in 2022 featured three 450 kilometre “semi-endurance” rounds, two at Fuji Speedway, and one at Suzuka Circuit in the late August calendar slot once held by the Suzuka 1000km/10 Hours.
