Another piece in the Rolex 24 at Daytona jigsaw slides into place as Vasser Sullivan Lexus has confirmed that Kyle Kirkwood once again joins the squad,, this time aboard the #12 GTD class car with Aaron Telitz, Frankie Montecalvo and Parker Thompson.
The drive in the #12 marks a change on strategy for the squad after Kirkwood completed the sister #14 GTD Pro line-up in 2022, plus a successful, race-winning outing in the #12 at Detroit in GTD.
“Driving with the No. 12 car group will be a ton of fun,” said Kirkwood. “I’ve known all three drivers for a long time and with the addition of Parker Thompson, we’ll be a true powerhouse.
“Vasser Sullivan and Lexus always prepare race winning cars, and coming off our win in the #14 car at Petit Le Mans last year, it will give the team momentum going into the first race of the 2023 season, which is also the biggest race of the year.”
