SSR Performance Switch To Lamborghini With Three-Car DTM Entry

SSR Performance will switch from Porsche to Lamborghini in the 2023 DTM fielding a trio of new Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO II machines.

Works drivers Mirko Bortolotti and Franck Perera will be joined by Italian Alessio Deledda in the team for 2023.

Lamborghini Head of Motorsport, Giorgio Sanna: “It is fantastic to have found such a professional, successful and extremely committed team as SSR Performance for a strategic collaboration. The high technical level with regard to racing and production cars has impressed us from the outset, and we are looking forward to the first DTM race together at the end of May.”

Team owner Stefan Schlund: “We are taking on our next challenge. I love a challenge and am all the happier with the new partnership with Lamborghini. Together with Giorgio Sanna, we have put together a fantastic package for Lamborghini and SSR Performance. Our line-up of Mirko Bortolotti, Franck Perera and Alessio Deledda is an excellent one. There is a lot of hard work to do over the coming weeks and months. We want to achieve success and score valuable points towards the championship from race one.”

“With Mirko, Franck, Alessio and the Huracán GT3 EVO2, we are strong and competitive in every regard. I am very much looking forward to the DTM season and working with Lamborghini. The whole team is highly motivated and, together with Lamborghini, we want to win races and have a say in the title race. It will also be good to get back out on the racetrack and welcome the fans,” says SSR team principal Mario Schuhbauer. The DTM is seen as one of the best GT3 series in the world.
