D08 for Mücke Motorsport
BWT Mücke Motorsport will compete for the first time with an LMP car with a Duqueine D08 in the 2023 Prototype Cup Germany.
The cockpit is shared by the two young talents Nico Göhler and Gustavo Kiryla.
“LMP3 is a new step for our team that we are very much looking forward to. The Prototype Cup Germany is very interesting for young talents, especially due to the increased commitment of the manufacturers with the new LMDh cars. We have every chance to be at the front and to aim for the championship,” explains team manager Stefan Mücke.
“At the same time I personally have a very close connection to endurance racing. I have driven many races myself with prototypes myself, in the WEC and also at Le Mans.”
Gustavo Kiryla will have a long journey to the season opener at the Motodrom in Baden. The 28-year-old year-old from Curitiba in Brazil has been racing in prototype sport in his home country since 2020. With success: in 2022 he won the title in the Império Endurance Brasil. 19-year-old German Nico Göhler has been active in formula racing since 2018. In 2019, he competed in ADAC Formula 4. Via Formula 3 and the Formula Regional European Championship, his path now leads to LMP3 racing. “I know the team already from the past and was able to achieve some successes together with them,” says Göhler. “This has shown that as a team we can tackle new challenges with flying colors.
“That’s why I’m convinced that our entry into the LMP3 category will also be successful. The season opener can’t come fast enough.”
Aust Motorsport enters Ligier
Aust Motorsport will bring an LMP3 Ligier JS P320 to the Prototype Cup Germany series in 2023.
The team from Rietberg has many years of experience in the GT Masters. Last year, the team won the GTC Championship and had three successful guest starts in the GT Open.
Dino Steiner, who some may know from various American racing series. From 1996 to 2008, he successfully took part in races in the USA, including the Porsche Carrera Cup. In Europe, he took the wheel in the Porsche Supersports Cup and in the ADAC GT Masters.
Young Austrian, Constantin Schöll, who already has motorsport experience since 2008 among others in the GT4 Germany, GT4 European Series, GT Masters, 24h Series, 24h Nürburgring and ELMS LMP3 will take the helm.

Lüthen & Hörr team up at Koiranen Kemppi
Matthias Lüthen is set to compete alongside Laurents Hörr in Team Koiranen Kemppi Motorsport’s entry for the 2023 Prototype Cup Germany season.
As bronze-ranked driver Lüthen will partner up with gold-ranked two-time Le Mans Cup LMP3 Champion Hörr, who was signed for the Team Koiranen Kemppi earlier this year.
Lüthen has competed both in single-seaters and endurance racing. Last year he finished 3rd in Prototype Cup Germany together with Donar Munding.
“We are very pleased to have two experienced and competitive drivers in our team. The situation could not be better. Now we have two excellent and driven drivers who have the capability of fighting for podiums and wins,” said Kimmo Kemppi and Marko Koiranen, the team owners, in a statement.
“Later this spring we will arrange some pre-season testing days, welcoming drivers to the team and start working as a team.”
The Prototype Cup Germany season is set to begin with a trip to the Hockenheimring on 28th-30th of April.
