Iron Lynx to compete in Italian GT Sprint at Misano

Future Lamborghini LMDh factory outfit Iron Lynx has announced it will participate in a single round of the Italian GT Sprint Championship at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Following on from an encouraging outing at the Fanatec GT2 European Series season-opener at Autodromo Nazionale Monza, the father-son duo of Luciano and Donovan Privitelio will be teaming up once again in a Lamborghini Super Trofeo as part of the GT Cup class.

“It seems only right as an Italian team that we compete in the Italian GT Sprint Championship – Misano is our home track so we’re looking forward to this one-off entry. We’re happy to be welcoming Luciano and Donovan Privitelio back to compete with Iron Lynx for another event in 2023,” Iron Lynx team principal and CEO, Andrea Piccini, said.

Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific and Persona Energy announce Technology Transfer Apprenticeship Programme partnership

Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific has announced a new partnership with the Technology Transfer Apprenticeship Programme (TTAP), which aims to develop local talent throughout the motorsport industry.

TTAP is a platform that helps engineers and technicians work on the international stage through motorsport and has produced 100 apprentices since its inception three years ago.

Alongside Porsche’s regional motorsport office, Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific, the organisation is now looking to establish a clear ladder for young talent to enter the motor racing world.

TTAP also collaborates with UK-based Team JOTA, which now competes in the FIA WEC with a Porsche 963 driven by Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver Ye Yifei.

“We are very proud to expand our wings alongside Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific,” Jazeman Jaafar, founder of TTAP said. “It’s an established name in the motorsport industry and this collaboration is a recognition of our endeavour to develop and contribute to the Malaysian motorsport scene.

“As part of our partnership with Porsche, 15 apprentices will get the chance to work with race teams during the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia campaign in Buriram (Aug 4-6), Sepang (Aug 25-27) and in Shanghai (Oct 27-29).

“Five lucky individuals will be selected for each round and will receive the opportunity to get involved with Porsche as they aim to take their career to new heights.”

Apprentices involved in the programme have had the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced engineers in FIA WEC over the last two years.
