Barwell Commits Two Lamborghinis To 2024 British GT

Team seeking Bronze drivers for Black Bull-supported seat

Barwell Motorsport is set to field a pair of Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2s in the 2024 British GT Championship season, sporting Black Bull Scotch Whisky colours, the team has confirmed.

The multiple British GT title-winning team is looking for Bronze-graded drivers for its 2024 campaign. The driver taken on by Barwell would receive support from Black Bull and Lamborghini Squadra Corse.

The drivers of its current #72 Huracan – Mark Sansom and Will Tregurtha – are set to compete in European competition with the team next year. There is no word on whether or not Sandy Mitchell and Shaun Balfe will return to compete in the second car next season.

“Although the costs of competing in motorsport at the highest level are currently still on the rise, our increased support from Black Bull will allow us to offer a race-wining and title-contending package to suitable drivers for an extremely cost-effective budget,” said Mark Lemmer, Barwell Motorsport team principal.

“With this in place, plus additional support from Lamborghini, we are also able to include additional pre-season testing so we are fully prepared to hit the ground running at the start of the 2024 season.”
