Iron Lynx has confirmed a three-car entry for the 2024 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona in January with a trio of Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO 2 entries – one car in GTD Pro and two in GTD.
Driving the green #19 entry in GT Daytona Pro will be factory Lamborghini drivers Mirko Bortolotti, Jordan Pepper and Andrea Caldarelli. They are joined by Franck Perera, moving over from the yellow-coloured machine to form a team with three previous winners of this event.
In the yellow #60, competing in GT Daytona, will be Claudio Schiavoni and Matteo Cressoni. Their two teammates will be announced soon.
In the pink Iron Dames’ #83 in GT Daytona, the Bahrain WEC winning trio of Michelle Gatting, Sarah Bovy and Rahel Frey will be joined by a fourth driver which will be announced at a later date to form the all-female line-up. The Iron Dames will contest the full five-race Michelin Endurance Cup in 2024
The IMSA Endurance Cup begins on the high banks at Daytona for the blue-ribband 24-hour event on January 27-28, before heading to Sebring on March 16. There is a gap before the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen on June 23, while a new endurance race – a six-hour event at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway – will be held on September 22 before the season-concluding Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta on October 12.
“We are very excited to return to the United States, as we enjoyed racing in the IMSA Sportscar Championship very much this year,” Iron Lynx team principal and CEO, Andrea Piccini, said.
“There, we found ourselves learning a completely different way of racing with a paddock that made us feel very welcome. We are really looking forward to going back to start racing in 2024 with a great race such as the 24 Hours of Daytona with our three Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO 2 cars. The team will take a short and well-deserved break over December and we will be more than ready to hit the track once again.”
