MDK Motorsports has completed its Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona lineup for the #86 Porsche 911 GT3 R by adding former Pfaff Motorsports driver Klaus Bachler and two-time Porsche Supercup Champion Larry ten Voorde to the crew.
Bachler and Ten Voorde will race alongside Li Kerong and Anders Fjørdbach in MDK Motorsports’ first full-season IMSA GTD entry. The team from Ohio ran last year’s Rolex 24 Hours and has entered an alliance with High Class Racing for the 2024 season across multiple categories.
Bachler helped drive the new 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 R to its first competitive victory in last year’s Sebring 12 Hours, for his first IMSA victory. He and Patrick Pilet finished the season with seven podiums and was fourth in the GTD Pro drivers’ standings.
The Austrian veteran is also confirmed to run the full 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship season for Manthey Pure Rxcing.
27-year-old Ten Voorde will make his IMSA and Rolex 24 debut after winning the German and Italian Porsche Carrera Cup titles last year and finishing as the runner-up in Porsche Supercup. In total, Ten Voorde boasts six Porsche Carrera Cup championships. In 2020, he made his 24 Hours of Le Mans debut, finishing fourth in GTE Am for Team Project 1.
