CREVENTIC have confirmed that the provisional entry list on the 24H Series website will be continuously updated for the 2024 Hankook 24H DUBAI which will now take place on the new date of 26-27-28 January after shipping delays caused by conflicts in the Middle East.
Despite the direct conflict of the event with the date for the IMSA season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona Heart of Racing by SPS, Earl Bamber Motorsport or GetSpeed Performance, all affected by the clash, are in the process of confirming replacement driver crews for Dubai.
Leipert Motorsport, Sainteloc Junior Team, PROsport Performance, RPM Racing, Eastalent Racing, Holmgaard Motorsport, HRT-Performance and Attempto Racing have all reconfirmed their participation in addition to the teams that took part in the Hankook 12H KUWAIT earlier this month.
Only 6 entries, all of which are GT3 entries, who were unable to change existing commitments for teams and drivers, have confirmed their withdrawal due to the rescheduling of the event.
Herberth Motorsport and Car Collection Motorsport will participate in the event with a single car respectively, instead of three cars each previously. Hofor-Racing and MP Motorsport have also cancelled their participation.
CREVENTIC has again emphasised that the Hankook 6H ABU DHABI remains unaffected, and will continue to run on 20 and 21 January with a record 40+ entries confirmed including teams already ‘in the country ahead of the initial planned date for the 24H Dubai.
The time schedule for all sessions in Dubai has been updated with additional track time planned on 23, 24, and 25 January. Free Practice and Qualifying is scheduled on Friday 26 January with the green light for the 2024 Hankook 24H DUBAI shown at 13:00 on Saturday 27 January.
