The GT Association (GTA) has published the entry list for the season-opening SUPER GT Okayama GT 300km Race, which takes place on 14 April at Okayama International Circuit.
This entry list contains no major surprises in either GT500 or GT300, where all 42 full-season teams are expected to feature.
In GT500, Okayama will mark the debut of the new Honda Civic Type R-GT. The latest news out of the Honda camp is that Stanley Team Kunimitsu driver Tadasuke Makino is scheduled to return to racing action for the first time in over a month.
After finishing tenth in the first Super Formula race at Suzuka, Makino missed both official pre-season tests at Okayama and Fuji Speedway due to an illness. But he’s now scheduled to return to the cockpit of the #100 Stanley Civic Type R-GT alongside co-driver Naoki Yamamoto.

In GT300, the new #11 Gainer Tanax Nissan Fairlady Z driven by Ryuichiro Tomita and Keishi Ishikawa is entered – in anticipation of its debut race at Okayama. Only an illustration of the car has been revealed as of publication time.
JLOC will enter its two Lamborghini Huracán GT3s, but right now there’s no official confirmation of whether the #87 Metalive S Lamborghini GT3 (Kosuke Matsuura/Natsu Sakaguchi) will be the latest EVO2 spec, or the previous “EVO1” that ran in the pre-season tests.
Also, R’Qs Motor Sports will rotate through some of its four-driver line-up for Okayama, putting Masaki Kano in the #22 R’Qs Mercedes-AMG GT3 with Hisashi Wada.
