Three weeks after the fog-shortened 2024 edition of the Nurburgring 24 Hours, Nordschleife racing action resumes this weekend with the four-hour 69th ADAC Westfalenfahrt (NLS3) scheduled for tomorrow.
The entry list is out and features 113 cars, with 11 entered in the SP9 category for FIA GT3 cars.
SP9, despite its low car count, should nevertheless be hotly contested, with five manufacturers represented and five cars entered in SP9 Pro.
The headline entries come from Falken Motorsports, which is looking to add to its tally of strong results this year, which includes a sweep of the N24 Qualifiers weekend and a victory in NLS1 back in April.
For NLS3 the Japanese tyre manufacturer’s team will, as usual, compete with a pair of Porsche 911 GT3 R (992). Julien Andlauer and Sven Müller are set to share the #3 and Tim Heinemann and Martin Ragginger are listed to pair up in the #4.
They will face stiff opposition in Pro from a Herberth Porsche driven by Vincent Kolb and 2024 N24 winner Frank Stippler, a pair of Advan X HRT Mercedes AMG GT3s for Arjun Maini, Hubert Haupt and Jusuf Owega, and Dennis Fetzer, Salman Owega and David Schumacher, as well as a Landgraf Mercedes for Lucas Auer and Ralf Aron.
The remaining five entries in the class are spread across Pro/Am and Am. In the former, Aston Martin Vantage GT3s from PROsport Racing and Walkenhorst Motorsport and a Renazzo Motorsport Lamborghini will square off. And in Am a pair of Audis from JUTA Racing and Equipe Vitesse will go head-to-head.
The starting signal for the four-hour race on the Nordschleife will be given at 12 noon on Saturday. The starting positions will already be determined in the morning in the 90-minute qualifying session starting at 8:30 am.
