Volante Rosso has acquired a near-new Aston Martin Vantage GT3 for the squad’s return to the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS.
The Aston Martin, believed to be the car that raced just three times with Andretti Autosports in 2023, will be delivered to the team’s Marrickville, NSW, base ahead of Round 3 of Fanatec GT Australia at Queensland Raceway.
While the car will arrive and initially race in pre-2024 ‘Evo’ spec, it is set to be upgraded to the latest evolution aerodynamic and body specifications later this season.
The Volante Rosso squad will shake the Vantage GT3 down at Sydney Motorsport Park on Friday ahead of the team’s return to Fanatec GT Australia at Queensland Raceway on August 2-4.
The team will enter the outright Pro-Am battle, with its driver line-up to be announced shortly.
The team will also become the official Aston Martin Racing Partner team in Australasia giving Volante Rosso access to data and support for all Aston Martin Racing activities in Australia and its neighbouring countries.
