Inter Europol Outlines IMSA & Asian Le Mans Plans

Team to establish a base in the USA for its 2025 WeatherTech campaign

Le Mans-winning team Inter Europol Competition has revealed that it will continue its LMP2 programme in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2025 and make a return to the Asian Le Mans Series later this year with a multi-car effort.

The Polish outfit currently leads the LMP2 championship in IMSA and hopes to build on its highly successful debut season next year. For its second campaign, it has been assigned number #43 for its ORECA (currently it sports #52 as part of its partnership with PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports).

In addition, the team has filed two Asian Le Mans Series entries for a multi-class programme in the 2024/25 season with a car apiece in LMP2 and LMP3.

Should it be granted entries by the organisers it would be the team’s first effort in the ACO’s pan-Asian championship since the 2023 season.

“We’re happy to be back in the Asian Le Mans Series 2024/25, and it’ll be a programme of LMP2 and LMP3,” stated team manager Sascha Fassbender. “Additionally, we’re thrilled to be participating in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2025.

“This will be under ‘Inter Europol Competition’, and we will set up our base in the United States for this programme. We’re all looking forward to this new challenge for our team.

“The driver announcements will come later in the year, and yes, we could not be more excited for this new chapter as we continue to perform at such a high level and grow our team,” he concluded.

Beyond its commitments in IMSA and Asian Le Mans, Inter Europol is expected to return to the ELMS in 2025 too and renew its presence on the series’ support package which includes the Le Mans Cup and Ligier European Series. Currently, the team operates cars in all three series on the bill.

Should it receive invitations to compete at Le Mans the team also hopes to fight for a second Le Mans class victory in June.
