DXDT Racing and driver Bryan Sellers have announced that the two-time IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Champion will leave Paul Miller Racing at the conclusion of the 2024 IMSA season, to take on an expanded role as the full-time Programme Manager at DXDT Racing in GT World Challenge America.
“I’m so excited to join DXDT full-time as Programme Manager,” expressed Sellers. “This role allows me to continue driving at a high level while also allowing me to explore other endeavours on the business side of the sport. During the 2024 season I have been integrating into this role alongside David [Askew, Team Owner] and Erin [Gahagan, General Manager] and I’m excited to build on the success we have already seen this season.”
Sellers leaves Paul Miller Racing after an incredible run alongside co-driver Madison Snow. Together, they won the 2018 and 2023 GTD class championships, 13 race wins and 37 podiums across both GTD and GTD Pro categories – including a class win in the 2020 Daytona 24 Hours, and two Sebring 12 Hour class wins in their title-winning seasons.
As part of his new role, Sellers will continue to drive in GT World Challenge America, where he’s won the Pro-Am class twice this season at VIR and Road America. His new role at DXDT will allow him to focus on racing in a way that extends beyond the cockpit.
“I love the inner workings of racing programs, and it is something I have taken a lot of pride in learning about over the past 20-plus years,” Sellers continued. “While I’m sad to be stepping away from the race team I have called home for nearly a decade at Paul Miller Racing—and I want to extend my gratitude to everyone there for their friendship and hard work—I am very grateful for this new opportunity with DXDT and beyond excited to get to work.”
Team Owner David Askew added: “DXDT Racing has changed and grown a lot since Bryan joined the team, and much of that has to do with him. He’s one of the quickest drivers out there, but even more importantly, he knows and understands this business like the back of his hand.
“I’ve gone to Bryan for advice on numerous occasions, and his knowledge and opinions have been invaluable as we’ve grown our operation. With the team bigger than ever and taking on new challenges this year and in the future, it just made too much sense to bring him in-house in this Program Manager role. I’m so excited about what this means for our race team, and I know between him and Erin, we’re in great hands.”
Sellers will close out the 2024 GT World Challenge America season this Saturday at the Indianapolis 8 Hour Race, where he’ll drive the #64 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R alongside Blake McDonald and Patrick Liddy.
The following week, he’ll close out his nine-year tenure at Paul Miller Racing in the 27th annual Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
