Argentine-flagged GT3 team Madpanda Motorsport has announced that it has ended its relationship with Mercedes-AMG with immediate effect. As a result the team will take no further part in the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe season.
The outfit, which is based in Barcelona and haeded by Ezequiel Pérez Companc, has been a Mercedes-AMG customer team for five years and in 2024 has been competing in the Silver class of the World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO.
“We regret to inform that we have decided to put a stop to our relationship with AMG,” the team’s statement reads. “We would like to thank all the people involved in the brand for these incredible five years working together, and for all the support we have received from them.
“Following this, we also announce that we will not be participating in the final round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Sprint at Barcelona. We appreciate the understanding from SRO, and we look forward to racing again in the future in the most competitive GT championship.
“As a consequence of the above, we are placing on sale our Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo with all our material related to it.
“We are grateful for all the support we are receiving from our fans and sponsors during this transition time for the team, and we look forward to sharing together what the future brings!”
