An updated 2024 FIA WEC Bahrain Rookie Test entry list has been published ahead of the final race of the 2024 season today. It includes a number of interesting additions for a number of teams and manufacturers.
In Hypercar, Phil Hanson is listed against the #83 AF Corse 499P following the news earlier this week that he will be joining the Italian team in 2025.
And at Proton Competition, its 963 now has Harry Tincknell, Larry Ten Voorde and Antonio Serravalle confirmed alongside the previously confirmed duo of Charlie Wurz and Julien Andlauer.
The LMGT3 class meanwhile, features a huge number of additions up and down the order.
Factory driver Augusto Farfus is named against both WRT BMWs, assisting the team as they test with Grégory de Sybourg and
Gilles Stadsbader.
United Autosports has added three names to its list, with Yasser Shahin from Manthey and Darren Leung from WRT’s current stables now listed against the #59 and TF Sport’s Sebastien Baud added to the #95.
Shahin and Baud are also set to test with Iron Lynx too in the #60 Huracan, while American duo Edmond Barseghian and Corey Neveau have been confirmed for the sister #85 car.
At AKKODIS ASP, the #78 is down to two drivers, with Aurélien Panis and factory driver Ben Barnicoat set to share driving duties.
Paul Evrard was previously listed but has now been removed and Arnold Robin has switched to the sister car. Robin will turn laps in the #87 alongside Razvan Umbrarescu and Jose Maria Lopez.
And finally, Proton’s Mustang line-ups have been bolstered, with Stefano Gattuso, Timo Rumpfkeil, Bernardo Sousa, Fabrizio Del Monte all set to turn laps alongside factory drivers Ben Barker and Dennis Olsen.
Tomorrow’s Rookie Test is split into two sessions, the first starting at 10:00am local and the second at 13:00 after a short lunch interval.
