A provisional list of 21 teams confirmed for the 2024 Gulf 12 Hours was released towards the end of October, as the grid for the iconic traditional end-of-season event in Abu Dhabi takes shape.
Seven GT3 manufacturers – Aston Martin, Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche, are represented by teams who have confirmed their presence for the December 15th race at the Yas Marina Circuit.
The 2024 edition will see a return to the two-part format, with an opening eight-hour endurance section followed, after a two-hour break, by a four-hour sprint to the chequered flag, creating a second starting ceremony in the magical night atmosphere of Yas Marina Circuit.
At least 21 teams are planning to be on the grid, with additional competitors who will be in the region for the 6 Hours of Jeddah on 28-30 November still in the process of finalising their entries. The Gulf 12 Hours promoter expects final arrangements to be concluded in the next two weeks.
The provisional list includes former winners Kessel Racing, AF Corse and 2 Seas Motorsport, who have won nine of the 12 previous Gulf 12 Hours races.
Driver line-ups will be confirmed in the coming weeks, according to new regulations which mandate a Bronze-ranked driver in each line-up.
