Nielsen Confirms Asian Le Mans Series Drivers

Rao, Bell and Catsburg team up for the season

British LMP2 team Nielsen Racing has announced its drivers for the upcoming 2024/25 Asian Le Mans Series season. The outfit will race with Naveen Rao, Matt Bell, and Nicky Catsburg in its #24 LMP2 class ORECA 07.

Rao and Bell are no strangers to sharing the cockpit, having competed together in IMSA and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The campaign will be Bell’s fifth in the Asian Le Mans Series. Rao meanwhile, has previous experience with the team to draw from, having raced with its technical support at Petit Le Mans in 2021 with WIN Autosport in LMP3.

Joining them is highly experienced Dutchman Nicky Catsburg. The 36-year-old is a previous Asian Le Mans Series and FIA WEC champion, who also has wins at the Le Mans 24 Hours, Nurburgring 24 Hours and Spa 24 Hours on his CV.

This season marks Nielsen Racing’s seventh in the Asian Le Mans Series. It will also be the team’s first full campaign with its new technical director Gary Davies, who joined the team ahead of the ELMS finale back in October.

The 2024/25 Asian Le Mans Series season is set to get underway next month in Malaysia with two four-hour races at Sepang on December 7th and 8th.
