Corvette Racing By Pratt Miller IMSA Driver Line-Up Set

Varrone joins the #4 crew

Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports has revealed its full GTD Pro driver line-up for the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, which gets underway next month at Daytona.

The team’s #3 Z06 GT3.R line-up is unchanged from 2024. It will be driven by longtime factory ace Antonio Garcia and Alex Sims for the full season, with Daniel Juncadella confirmed as the third driver for the Rolex 24 Hours.

Its sister #4 car meanwhile, will be driven by Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg again for the full campaign, with 2023 FIA WEC GTE Am champion Nico Varrone (below) joining the factory IMSA GTD Pro squad for the first time.

He is confirmed for the Rolex 24, in the third seat which was filled by Cadillac LMDh driver Earl Bamber last year at Daytona, Sebring and Road Atlanta.

Following his hugely successful 2023 season with Corvette Racing in the FIA WEC, Varrone made two starts in IMSA’s GTD class with Corvette customer team AWA (at Daytona and Sebring) this year, before the Canadian team scaled back its programme to a single car.

In addition, Varrone spent the majority of the ELMS season racing in LMGT3 with AF Corse and made one-off appearances at the Le Mans 24 Hours and Nürburgring 24 Hours with AF Corse in LMP2 and Frikadelli Racing in SP9 respectively.

While it is highly likely that both Juncadella and Varrone will take up their role as third drivers later in the season at Sebring and Road Atlanta, Pratt Miller has only confirmed them for the opening round at this stage.

This news follows confirmation of Pratt Miller’s full LMP2 driver line-up. Earlier today it revealed that Chris Cumming and Callum Ilott will form part of its 2024 prototype plans.
